Abstract
The electrical aging behavior of XLPE power distribution cables has been investigated after AC (6 kV/mm) aging in water at room temperature by several techniques, including thermally stimulated discharge current (TSDC) and thermal transient current (TTC), which appear to provide acceptable information on the polarization of the insulator. Water trees were not observed with these cables, AC aged for up to 1000 h
