Abstract
Control of PH is important in many processes, including wastewater treatment, chemical processes and biological processes. This paper considers a high gain adaptive controller for pH control in a neutralization process. The method is realized using a simulation of the process in which a 7-litre continuously stirred tank reactor was used to neutralize a strong acid, using a strong base. The controlled system is studied under disturbances in the inlet acid flow rate and concentration, and the robustness of the designed controller is shown.
