Abstract
The cylindrical phased array is synthesized by using the method of weighted least squares. Various radiation patterns corresponding different beam directions in the scan region are considered. An optimized results can be obtained by suitable trade-off on these patterns simultaneously. Some examples are calculated. The method can also be used for other types of conformal phased arrays.
