Abstract
In the finish rolling process, the internal information of H-beam is not visible. To address this issue, a finite element simulation system for hot rolled H-beam has been developed based on ABAQUS. The system with re-meshing technique to achieve continuous rolling, which could automatically simulate the rolling process to avoid the cumbersome work in pre-processing, and analyze the distribution of temperature, stress and strain in rolling for every pass, is proposed. The accuracy of the system is verified through comparative result of finite element simulation and field data collected by infrared thermometer for H400×200. The system can be used to optimize rolling process and develop new H-beam types.
