Abstract
A flat-plate array antenna for TVRO applications is described. The antenna is both electrically performant (in terms of gain, efficiency, polarisation purity, sidelobe suppression and input return loss) and suitable for high volume production. In addition, its physical form makes it attractive for consumer applications and is environmentally acceptable. Results are presented for a prototype model which, although fabricated in aluminium, to validate the electrical performance only, has a form which was evolved with manufacture in injection moulded plastic in mind
