  • Abstract
    The authors introduce the prismatic sealed nickel-cadmium battery 2400PF, which has the same thickness as the diameter of an AA size cylindrical Ni-Cd battery and has a volumetric energy density about 40% higher than that of the conventional Ni-Cd battery. The 2400PF was designed to avoid electrolyte leakage and significant deformation of the battery can. It has better discharge characteristics at a high rate at a lower temperature than the conventional prismatic sealed Ni-Cd battery
