  • Abstract
    The authors developed an earthing method called the equalized earthing system (EES) for protecting telecommunication equipment. The hardware and the software of ESS were installed in a heavy lightning area. The damage to the telecommunication systems, the experimental results on the EES, and the analysis of observed lightning surges are reported
