Abstract
This paper analyzes characteristics of mass higher education in Chinese three-tier universities. In this study, mathematical techniques are added into teaching of basic mathematical subjects in Zhejiang Shuren University. The training of mathematical modeling is carried out to further improve students´ abilities to solved technical problems. Several computer aided teaching methods are used in these courses. Verified by the feedback from teachers and students, this teaching reform shows its feasibility and effectiveness.
