  • Abstract
In this study, the composite of pre-reservoirs system was designed and to explored the removal of suspended particles (SS) in the non-point sources pollution. The operating parameter (residence time) was investigated its effect on the SS removal, and the particle size distribution of effluent was analysis. The results showed that this system could remove the SS with high efficiency. When the residence time was 24hrs, SS could remove over 90%. From the Particle Size Distribution analysis, the results revealed that the particle size >; 30μm and <;4μm of SS cloud be removed in sediment area by physical sedimentation. And the particle size of 3~9μm of SS cloud be removed in deep water area by plants interception.
