Abstract
A sidelobe suppression algorithm based on compressive sensing (CS) theory for stepped-frequency continuous wave ground penetrating radar (SFCW GPR) is proposed. Due to sparse nature of the amplitude and time delay of signals reflected from underground layers and buried objects, an L1-norm minimization regularization approach within the framework of CS is employed to reconstruct the super-resolution SFCW GPR time domain signal for sidelobe suppression. The simulation results validate the feasibility and effectiveness of our proposed method.
