  • Abstract
In this paper, theory of Giant MagnetoResistance (GMR) effect was described. And a detection circuit for GMR sensors was designed. The detection circuit was tested respectively at constant magnetic field and time-varying magnetic field. Based on the results of experiments, the feasibility of the Electromagnetic Tomography (EMT) system using GMR sensors was analyzed. The difficulties and the questions in the work of the EMT system using a GMR sensor were summed up and some advices for future work were put forward.
