  • Abstract
    The travelling wave tube has great potential to provide high power for wireless communication. However, its poor linearity has limited its application. This paper describes a feedforward linear technology for improving a TWT linearity where a dual loop is implemented in order to reduce IMD components of the TWT. A low gain, X-band helix-TWT is designed by the use of the Pierce theory and nonlinear numerical simulations codes.
