Abstract
An evaluation of the total electromagnetic field radiated by a planar uniaxial anisotropic grounded slab under pulse vertical electric excitation conditions in the presence of an homogeneous isotropic upper half-space is presented. The development of the solution is obtained by using the 2D Fourier transform applied to the partial differential equations describing the electromagnetic field, expressed in terms of the dyadic Green´s function. Examples of evaluation of the pattern radiated by an electric vertical point-source embedded in the anisotropic slab are given. The study demonstrated the capability and versatility of the spectral theory for directly obtaining a rigorous solution of the electromagnetic quantities involved in the design of practical uniaxial anisotropic structures.<>
