Abstract
Extracted black-body temperature (TBB) and normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) according to Landsat/TM image which was obtained on May 1, 2008, and then converted TBB into potential temperature based on digital elevation model (DEM). Respectively select ten sampling areas in urban built-up area, urban-rural transition zone and suburbs. Count potential temperature and NDVI in each sampling area and construct seven mathematical models of regression analysis. This research thinks that the quadratic polynomial model is the best. There is a negative correlation between potential temperature and vegetation index. Results show that for regions with high NDVI, temperature is low. Research results have direction and guidance for plan and construction of green land in Chongqing City.
