Abstract
The author describes the powder processing technology used to produce the two major groups of permanent magnetic materials, these are the hard ferrite (SrFe12O19 or BaFe12O 19) and rare earth (SmCo5 based and NdFeB) permanent magnet groups. Some magnetic properties and uses are also briefly discussed
