Abstract
A safe can be made safely by making it key-free. Such a safe can be opened by recognizing the owner´s palmprint features only. A new method based on wavelet transform is proposed according to the palmprint line direction and space frequency. A support vector machine classifier is formed by combining radial basis of functions(RBF) kernel with polynomials kernel to significantly improve the rate of recognition. Simulation tests demonstrated satisfactory operation of the key-free safe.
