Abstract
Multiclient networks are now appearing in Europe as a result of liberalisation. Transmission, switching and network management facilities are shared between a number of users; the resulting economies of scale, coupled with the advanced technology available to the suppliers, enables users to trim operating costs while taking advantage of sophisticated network management facilities and other features. These networks can deliver three major business benefits: they can remove telecommunications as a source of management concern; speed up payback from investments in networking; and enable companies to exploit new applications to gain a competitive edge. Details are given of EDS Communications´ global network
