Abstract
Titanium alloy has a high mechanical strength and small elastic modulus. While it´s tapped, the springback of the work piece increases the tapping torque, the torsional stiffness is decreased with the flutes. The work hardening of titanium alloy is easy. Thus it is very difficult to tap small inside thread by cutting titanium alloy. Vibration press-working can diminish the forming force. In the compound vibration extruding tapping, the axial vibration can clear up the springback clamping force from both sides of the screw thread and reduce the extruding tapping torque. CNC technology is applied, In the new type of tapping machine with function of rotational vibration and axial vibration, Function of general tapping leading model is realized, which has met the demands of the new technique in vibration extruding tapping.
