  • Abstract
The power curve of wind turbine power is an important indicator to assess the efficiency of the generating units. And the power curve has been widely introduced in the power forecasting of wind farm. In order to improve the accuracy of the power curve modeling, a maximum likelihood modeling of power curve based on mathematical expectation has been proposed in this paper. With the measured data from a wind turbine, the maximum likelihood modeling was performed, and then the built model was compared with those based on the other modeling methods. Results show that the curve of the maximum likelihood is smoother and of higher stability, so does the curve of the Bean. In addition, the simulation tests of the power curves have been made according to the wind speed series. The results indicate that the maximum likelihood method has a higher forecasting precision when the measured data are sufficient.
