  • Abstract
    Presently, China is developing flourishingly on the path of urbanization. Renewal and circulation of the city are booming at such an unprecedented speed that industry remains are constantly faced with being demolished or destroyed. Loft, as a promising and new style of architecture, has become one of the significant ways of dealing with the modernization of industry remains. The style of loft has experienced a process, from the initial "pure art" to the present "commercial trend". It has long been favored by many people, but there are still repeated constructions which follow the loft trend blindly. Based on the study of the origins and characteristics of the style of loft, this paper is designed to draw a conclusion of the problems that we are supposed to pay attention to during the development of loft, and to provide references for the study of reconstruction model of industry remains during the process of urban renewal.
