  • Abstract
    This research project was conducted to develop an engineering tool to evaluate technical and functional specifications of a forward looking automotive radar sensor and threat assessment algorithms for forward collision warning system development. The tool consists of three major components: 1) an interactive driving simulator, 2) a radar sensor simulator and 3) a threat assessment evaluation subsystem. The complete system structure is defined and the interface among the major components is established
