Abstract
A unified TE-to-x (TE/sub mn//sup x/) mode analysis of corrugated waveguide circular polarizers is presented. Since the condition of vanishing orthogonal E-field is automatically satisfied, the matrix sizes in the computer software can be reduced to one-fourth of those of the superposition principle. This not only contributes to the numerical stability of the algorithm but also makes the processing time up to eight times faster for a typical application. The predicted results are found to be in excellent agreement with measurements.<>
