  • Abstract
Using heat and flow governing equation , taking forced-convection heat transfer of in-line hank of tubes as research object, the paper analyzed the entropy generation distribution and discussed the entropy generation´s changing relationship with the Re from 1.0 × 104 to 10 × 104 and the S1/d (S2/d) from 1.25 to 2.0. The results indicated that: the entropy generation mainly generated near the surface of the hank of tubes; The area weighted average Sgen varies with Re in exponent function, and Re is the major impact factor of Sgen; with increase of Re , The area weighted average of Irreversible entropy generation flow NTH diminished. The proportion of the area weighted average of heat transfer entropy generation NFFI in Sgen rising rapidly, when Re > 4.0 × 104, the heat and entropy production can be ignored.
