Abstract
A 2×2 multilayer parasitic microstrip array antenna (MPMAA) worked at 9 GHz is presented. A parallel side feed system has been used for the first layer, and an impedance match network is used for the antenna to match the coaxial transmission line feed. Coupling feed system has been used for the second and third layers. Prototype of the proposed antenna has been constructed and tested based on the calculated results of HFSS. The experimental results show that the antenna obtains a wide bandwidth (8.4 GHz~10.1 GHz) and a maximum gain of 10.5 dB. It also obtains great radicalization characteristic.
