Abstract
The effect of heat treatment on thermal conductivity of 6063 aluminum alloy was studied, and the mechanism of heat treatment(homogenizing, solution, aging treatment) of the alloy was discussed. The results indicate that homogenizing treatment is conducive to microscopic structure of the alloy, the microstructure is fine and the heat conductivity is high after homogenizing treatment technology at 560 °C for 6 hours. The thermal conductivity of alloy material declines as solution temperature rises, strength and thermal conductivity reach better coordination at 510 °C. Artificial aging can renovate the defect of structure effectively and enhance heat conductivity, with aging system at 200 °C for 6 hours its thermal conductivity is excellent.
