Creative organisation [design engineering management]

Based upon the practices of a number of successful companies, the author proposes organisational solutions to engineering problems experienced by design managers. More specifically, he offers advice on how people can be stimulated to have more ideas and be more creative in solving engineering problems more quickly and effectively. The author looks at the organisation of the design process. He suggests a simultaneous engineering approach using multi-skilled teams and explains how to get such teams to work by using `agents for change´. Other strategies for a successful company are also presented
