  • Abstract
It is a challenging problem to efficiently allocate limited and varying network resources in the wireless communication networks to a variety of multiple services with different characteristics and requirements. Assuming knowing the instantaneous channel conditions of all users, we propose a reduced complexity adaptive radio resource allocation algorithm to maximize the frequency efficiency, while guaranteeing the quality of service (QoS) of different users. It is done by assigning the best subcarriers to the corresponding users and by modulating the subcarriers with better channel gains to a higher order. Our proposed algorithm is easy to implement because of the great reduction in complexity. The results show that it can achieve the near optimal solution
