Abstract
Raymode X is a computer program developed by G. Leibiger at NUSC, New London in 1976. The program was developed to implement the normal mode solution of the acoustic wave equation to solve for sound propagation in a surface duct, the convergence zone, and the bottom bounce domain. That program has been modified to compute separately the contributions to the total field corresponding to the direct path, the surface reflected path, the bottom reflected path and several combinations of these paths. For each path propagation loss and travel time as a function of range, and vertical arrival angles at the transmitter and receiver were computed. The individual paths may be used in applications where multipath propagation has a critical impact or adds realism.
