This paper built a model of a structure and performed impedance analysis by using FEM software, two scenarios have been discussed. 1) stainless steel content in the container, 2)45# steel content in the container. Subsequent experimental results were consistent with the calculational results. The conclusion showed that experimental and theoretical limpedance results were influnced by the varity of the materials. This method using impedance analysis could be used to rapidly verify presence of material in containers removed from storage. It was more useful in the fault identification.
