Abstract
As a kind of right based on the basic real right of real estate, neighboring right should be protected effectively. Due to the real estate property of constructions, new construction behaviors may result to some influences on the rights of the owner or user of the existing neighboring constructions, such as neighboring right-right of ancient lights etc. This, therefore, will lead to disputes between the new construction behavior agent and the owner or user of the existing buildings. After analyzing the identification criteria of the right of ancient lights of the neighboring constructions by case study, the following are found: sunshine spacing criteria are not enough for realizing protection on the right of ancient lights effectively; sunshine duration criteria are enough for realizing protection on the right of ancient lights effectively.
