Abstract
Experimental regularities of coupling a quasioptical dielectric resonator (QDR) to a microstrip line are discussed in Ku-band. It is offered to organize coupling in "a microstrip line placed under QDR" space, which differs from a known mode of "QDR placed on a microstrip substrate" connection. It is shown, that at connection by "a microstrip line placed under QDR" mode a resonance field energy losses in a substrate are negligibly small as contrasted to natural energy losses in QDR. Presence of several coupling areas, disjointed by zones of lack of coupling both for quasi-E, and for quasi-H oscillation modes is revealed
