  • Abstract
    In this paper an UWB bandpasss filter with multiple notch bands is presented. The Ultra Wide band (UWB) bandpass characteristic is achieved using a distributed highpass filter. The higher order harmonics of the highpass filter is eliminated by realizing defected stepped impedance resonator Structure embedded on the ground plane. The dual band notch (5.75 GHz and 8 GHz) characteristics is obtained by embedding two open stubs on the upper surface of the filter. The equivalent circuit of the proposed filter is implemented. The in band and out of band performance obtained from EM-simulated and Circuit Simulation are in good agreement.
