Abstract
The paper analyzes the concept, elements and data structure of the multi-mode transportation network, proposes a polycentric hierarchy description model of the integrated transportation network, and discusses the construction method of multi-mode transportation network using GIS technology. The design of system function modules provides a visual edition platform to realize the construction of integrated transportation network and the conversion of vectorgraph and network data, as well as the functions of storage, modification and query of the attribute and socioeconomic data of the network. Through the information update and the daily maintenance of the network, this system can offer accurate and complete data for the transportation organization as the basic part of the network management, and is the premise work of the demand prediction and network planning of the multimode transportation network.
