Abstract
Different methods of induction heating for metallic conductors (rods, sheets) are discussed. The skin effect, which is proportional to the operational frequency, is one of the important factors in this technique. The high operational frequency and the high reactive power are from the industrial problems which face induction heating. The transversal flux induction heating (TFIH) enables the operation of the system at power frequency and the improvement of the power factor. An analytical approach to describe this phenomena is presented
