Abstract
Summary form only given. Concerns the most promising ways to put forward and justify expert systems projects. Furthermore, a methodology for delivering applications for competitive advantage is outlined. A proposal for an expert systems development will be judged by management as an investment decision. This means that only the projects where future benefit to the organisation could be measured will be considered. Cost and benefit measures are considered in relation to times, money, opportunity, communication, cost control, staff and organisation
