Abstract
The Suzuki model (a process with lognormal shadowing superimposed over Rayleigh fading) is generalized using Nakagami instead of Rayleigh fading. The PDF of this joint process (generalized Suzuki process) is analyzed and some approximations for it are tested. The level crossings´ PDF (used to evaluate the outage probability) for this joint process are also studied. The gamma distribution proves to be useful to approximate both PDFs
