  • Abstract
A Fourier method is introduced to analyze the stability of a FDTD scheme before its numerical solution is attempted. The FDTD numerical model considered is constructed by applying Yee´s model to the interior points, Mur´s second-order radiation boundary condition to the boundary points (except for the corner points), and the first-order radiation boundary conditions to the corner points. The analysis is applicable to any scheme.<>
