  • Abstract
At a recent seminar, Microsoft Chairman, Bill Gates quoted that "how you gather, manage and more importantly use information will determine whether you win or lose". This explicitly echoes the explosion of interests especially over the last couple of years in RFID, the sensor technology that is envisioned to revolutionize the business landscape of the 21stcentury. This paper will commence with an introduction to RFID and it will proceed to describe the monumental interest that RFID has created in the corporate world. The core part of the paper will focus on the introduction and demonstration of a framework that has been developed for the use of enterprises to guide and focus their attention on five fundamental areas in their drive of embracing RFID into their business processes.
