Abstract
A laser scheme for compensation of the influence of thermal distortions in an active medium is investigated. In a powerful laser with such a scheme a high uniformity of energy cross distribution is achieved, and angular divergence, close to the diffraction limit, at a pulse energy up to 65 J, is obtained
