  • Abstract
This paper presents a performance analysis of a self-regulated, self-excited, brushless three-phase synchronous generator. The new generator does not require an exciter, and provides compensation for voltage variation without an AVR. An equivalent circuit, which can include the nonlinearity of the exciting impedance, is derived. Using the equivalent circuit, the generator´s steady-state performance is theoretically predicted, and confirmed through experiment
