In this paper, taking our school automation training as the background, discussed the smart car competition play an important role in the promotion of students to improve the quality of professional aspects. And point out problems which encountered in practice and give solution and suggestions to the problem. In the professional building, through the extensive extra-curricular science and technology activities and competitions, a group of outstanding students come to the fore, and training a large number of lively talents who basic theories of solid, hands-on ability, innovative ideas, to ensure the quality of training of the automation professionals, and get wide acclaim of employment units.
