Abstract
Many higher education institutions have now had their period of accreditation renewed at least twice. The composition of the IEEE Accreditation Committee has changed in the normal course of replacement, the visiting panels have recruited continuously and always included industrial members. It would be reasonable to expect that industry would at least have a point of view about all these good works. The author presents a questionnaire the results of which are used to assess the value placed by industry on academic accreditation
