Abstract
Production system can be described of a highly complicated discrete manufacturing process. It is very difficult to design for production system by traditional means. However, building modeling of production system by use of object-oriented modeling method in virtual environment, we can optimize parameter and configuration of production system ahead of production plan in order to optimize production process and improve production efficiency. As the example of engine cylinder head production line, the process of modeling simulation, equipment layout and bottle-neck analysis was illuminated based on eM-Plant
