Abstract
Conventional infrared image equipments can only provide the images with limited visual field. Therefore, the image stitching technique is necessary to obtain an integral image. In the paper, the stitching technique based on the grids is applied in medical image stitching, and an image registration procedure from rough to precious is investigated to find the best matching pairs. In addition, the fade-in and fade-out method is employed to remove the seams in the stitching images, which automatically fulfills the image stitching process. The experiment results indicate that the proposed method improves registration speed and fusion performance, and achieves the seamless stitching effect.
