  • Abstract
    To determine the number of the pixels which compose the radar cross section of the corner reflector is a decisive aspect at low frequencies, like L and P band, in calculating parameters such as absolute calibration factor. In fact corner reflector power values in those frequencies are smaller and closer to the background value, so it is more difficult to extract the effective radar cross sections corresponding to the point target, and areas with a few pixels are to be taken into account. In the paper an algorithm to optimize the area associated to the passive calibrator is presented
