  • Abstract
With the development of image processing technology basic mechanics experiment based on motion detection has become the most attractive means of modern experiments. It will change the situation of application of complicated, expensive equipment in traditional mechanical experiments. At the same time it can achieve visual display of the experimental results, and can be directly applied to teaching, which plays a crucial role in increasing capacity of classroom teaching, and broadening teaching time and space. Motion detection based basic mechanics experiment system is implemented in this paper in which visual and dynamic display of experiment process and results is achieved. Experimental results show that this experiment method is simple, effective, and low-cost. It can also improve teaching and learning performance significantly.
