  • Abstract
    This paper introduces a virtual experiment workbench (VEW). Based on Windows GUI as user operation environment, it takes graphical block as operation object. It implements visual graphical configuration and virtual experiment technology for control systems, which provides a new reliable, cost-effective, and practical approach for operational training of the technicians and the design verification of researcher. The entire experiment system is divided into three parts: control instrument laboratory, control principle laboratory and control system laboratory. The VEW offers 45 typical operation unit modules, 14 typical plant modules, 2 PID regulators, 1 external physical input/output module, 1 rear panel of digital programmable controller, signal generator of 5 typical signals for ether set points or disturbances, built-in oscilloscope window for trend curve display
