  • Abstract
    Product object definition is the key technology in model and simulation based engineering. One of the possible solutions for actual problems in this area is processing human defined change requests into adaptive actions for the definition of product objects considering contextual connections and demanded product behaviors. In this paper, this method is analyzed from the point of view of engineering processes. Elements of a process for well-defined typical tasks are analyzed and process features are identified for different aspects of engineering processes. A special extension of the Form Feature Information Model (FFIM) in the standard ISO 10303 is applied as principle. After recognition of product definition process aspects, object definition, object connection, object content, coordination process, knowledge process, and complete PLM process aspects are introduced and discussed.
