  • Abstract
    Study on scientific research capability of national defense university is conducted with a view of analyzing effect elements, in which an evaluation index system and evaluation model of scientific research capability of national defense university is constructed. Scientific research capability of national defense university consists of four aspects, i.e., scientific research input, transformation efficiency, scientific research output and scientific research management. Each of aspects is then further divided into more detailed elements based on the characteristics of scientific research of national defense university. The approach adopted in the paper is a quantitative technique based on use of TOPSIS. In the end, a case is pulled into to illustrate the feasibility of the methodology from the empirical perspective. This study is expected to be helpful for universities to cultivate their core capabilities.
