  • Abstract
High-availability is the hotspot of research for the prototype of ForCES Routers. This paper introduces the high-availability requirement of ForCES Element, designs the ForCES Control Element model and analyzes the factor of impacting on high-availability, then presents an analysis of the number of CE impact on systempsilas availability based on Markov birth-death process. It consists of one primary CE and several stand-by CEs. The stand-by CE will take over all the jobs when primary CE is down. Confirm the appropriate number of CE, make sure the system reaches high-availability and the primary CEpsilas failure does not affect the normal operation of the network.
